Anderson Valley Wine

Anderson Valley AVA is located within Mendocino County in the North Coast region of California. It’s considered one of the coolest regions in the state, with dense areas of fog, cool winds and rain, with just enough sun to favor conditions for a long growing season, leading to balanced acid structure in the grapes.

Anderson Valley is named for a mid 1800s pioneer family who isolated themselves from the rest of the frontier packs and were drawn to the valley’s natural beauty, fertile grounds and abundant wildlife. • NG is actually a fan of almost all of LIOCO's wines.  I got the email ... to my liking was the 2008 Anderson Valley PN.  A bit overcooked for my taste.   I do like the Indica Roses as a rule, and did taste the 2013 with a friend.  The chards are usually fantastic, excellent acidity, nice bright lemon notes as a rule. Nice write-up and pictures... • No fair that people on the E. Coast are opening or even finishing their bottles ... biggest fan of the '08 Anderson Valley PNs ever.  That was the year, for those who forgot, of the big fires that made all the grapes kind of smoky.  Lots of brutal selection, some wines didn't get made or were made in small quantities.  Anyway, I've had some tha...
