Delicious red wine with good balance between fruit, tannins, and acid; big but not over-the-top, somewhat rustic. Wine is slightly over-extracted and not filtered which enables it to reveal wonderful terroir including an herb-olive patina that would go great with regional cooking using similar herbs. I like it a lot. Picked up a magnum for $12.95 in Austin because the owner of the wine shop recommended it. Nose is lightly fruity with a little bit of minerality and maybe some citrus. Tastes like Kiwi on the front of the mouth some acidity through the middle finishing clean and dry with the taste of stone or chalk. Much better than average... Read More
