Mark Angelillo here. I'm CTO of Snooth and a lover of all things wine and tech. I'm a fan of Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc. Wine regions: Rhone, Northern Italy and California. I'm a web geek too, so would be happy to chat about wine or the web. Cheers!

Plum and blackberry nose. Flavors are tart, with good acidity, light tannin and a hint of black olive on the finish.

Medium intense aromas of apples and peaches. It's not a full on sparkling wine, but definitely effervescent, quite sweet with heavy apple flavors. Reminds me of sparkling apple cider.

Starting at $12.09 Snoothrank: 4.5/5

Spicy ripe blackberry. A juicy wine, full of fruit and zesty acidity. Finishes with nice oak and a bit of tar.

Seven Hills Merlot 2007

Snoothrank: 3/5

Bright, super fruity black ripe cherry aromas. Flavors are deep and rustic, full of toasted oak and darker berry flavors. Black olive and leather and tar, although surprisingly it seems to...

My top choice would be Syrah, especially from the Rhone. I'll allow Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir to fight for my second place, although I have to admit I'm not only talking...

"Doug,

It really depends on what you're looking for. If you are interested in reading about wine, I would suggest the articles section. To find the best wines and comparison shop for the best prices, you can type in any region/variety/winery into the search box and Snooth will show you what's well rated.

Finally the forum is where the community hangs out to chat about wine. It's a great place to share knowledge and learn.

"Hi Doug,

Funny you should mention it, but we're just about to start collecting the information about alcohol levels (and a whole host of other auxiliary content) from our partner wineries. We're building the tools to collect the information at a large scale, and I am optimistic you'll begin to see data like this on the site within a few months.

I hope that helps. Cheers!

"Have you considered something about alcohol levels in wine? For example, one of my favorite vineyards is/was Anderson's Conn Valley but when I read tha their alcohol levels are now past 15% I no longer purchase them. I prefer old world without crazy alc levels and would like to see more info posted in this area.

Thank you,
Doug"
