Wine Guerrilla is a hero to those who seek wines of unabashed uniqueness and character. Wherever proud zinfandel grapes are oppressed and the taste buds of consumers are in peril, Wine Guerrilla is there. The name, “Wine Guerrilla,” reflects a unique approach to winemaking and marketing. Having begun as a broker of fine small-production artisinal wines, Wine Guerrilla brings together a vision of a reasonably priced premium wine with a passion for California’s native grape, zinfandel, a knowledge of the Sonoma region and existing relationships with many of the county’s best-known growers. The result is something special. Wine Guerrilla operates on a singular mission: Finding the very best zinfandel grapes, and crafting wines worthy of the grape’s unique characteristics, and introducing those wines to the public. And eliminating the final barrier to instant wine-drinking gratification, Wine Guerrilla wines are bottled with easy-to-open screwtops.

Wine Guerrilla on Snooth

  • Sonoma County 2007

    Snoothrank:

Sweet blueberry licorice nose, you can tell this is a rich and fruity wine. Doesn't disappoint with opulent fruit (cherry, plums, blackberries) and a core of vanilla bean. White pepper and rich sweet fruit through to the finish, with good acidity for a fruity zin. Spicy aftertaste. Nice. Read More

  • Wine Guerrilla Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley Block 6 Goat Trek Vineyard 2007

    Snoothrank:

Stewed plums and tobacco with hints of cocoa, earth, black pepper and game fill the glass. Almost seamless with the acid and tannins just poking through he tobacco tinged black plum and blackberry toned fruit. Theres a nice richness to the wine with its slightly chewy texture and a slightly creamy, mocha tinged quality on the back end that lead... Read More

  • Sonoma County 2007

    Snoothrank:

Crisp brambly fruit on the nose, there is a really nice crisp bay leaf, menthol, and vegetal edge on the nose that is attractive and adds depth to the melon rind, cherry and gingerbread spiced cranberry fruit. Lovely in the mouth, bright wild berry fruits are nicely red and have that slight vegetal/floral edge adding complexity and snap to the ... Read More

  • Wine Guerrilla Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley Two Vineyards 2006

    Snoothrank:

Red fruit, tar and licorice on the nose, with an underlying sweet raspberry tone and nice earthy spiciness are well balanced. Soft tannins and good acidity in a relatively medium weight frame help support nice wild raspberry and wild cherry fruit. This is definitely red fruited and quite fresh in the mouth if a touch simple though the fruit and... Read More

  • Wine Guerrilla Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley Two Vineyards 2006

    Snoothrank:

Spiced red fruit aromas. Flavors have a bit of a plastic film on them which distracts from the enjoyment, but past that there's a lot of fresh red berries, oak and medicine. Long finish. Read More

  • Wine Guerrilla Zinfandel Sonoma County 2005

    Snoothrank:

A nice wine but nothing exceptional. The wine has a nice spicy aroma but it seems to disappoint with a mild almost forgettable taste. We got it for $19.99 at Bottle Barn but a more fair value would see this wine in the $12 range where I would find it more desirable. Read More
