|Region:||South Africa » Stellenbosch|
Situated on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain, in the heart of South Africa's most famous wine region Stellenbosch, our vineyards are commonly referred to as the Home of Chenin Blanc and other premium award-winning wines. Over the years we've created a special brand of hospitality reflected in the list of wines which have been poured at numerous grand events including the opening of the Scottish Parliament and the 85th birthday of our own icon, previous President Nelson Mandela. Our range of top quality wines has received massive national and international acclaim with literally hundreds of awards and accolades over the last 16 years and are broadly available in well-reputed restaurants and exported to 14 countries around the globe. So please do come visit and share our view on quality!– Description from hinaualan
Earthy on the nose with faint shadings of oak adding nnce and contrast to the dried apple and faintly spicy fruit that has a gentle honied cast to it. Dry, firm and austere on entry, this has real nervous energy on the palate as it opens with dried cit...

This is frankly fruit on the nose but its very green fruit, all cactus leaf, sage, dried cilantro, poblano chili and green plum. This seems a touch sweet in the mouth with more of that green fruit character accented with some gooseberry, but mostly rather earthy/savory in nature. The acid is bright and well-balanced by the creamy richness of fru... Read More

Like lots of the stronger pinotages, this one tasted of corn and petroleum, trailed by dark berries.As unflattering as this description sounds, I liked it.Because of its savory, gamey quality, it pairs well with goat and sheep cheeses. It was wonderful with a Manchego cheese. Read More

The nose isn't particularly offensive with over-ripe fruit. Initial palate is likewise deep ripe currant and plum, but very heavy Latakia-tinted tobacco comes on strong. Perhaps if you really, really dig tobacco flavored wine you'll like this one. But there's a disturbing chemical finish that's really very awful. I agree with the "avoid" review. Read More
