hm. not bad for franzia i suppose. So far Ive had the white zin , and chablis, both ofwhich i thought were terrible as they tasted like vinegar. THis on the other hand does taste like wine, a bit acidic on the finish, but other than that, not a bad red wine. simple, but far from offensive. i might buy this again, if it keeps well over the next f... • As a Californian, I have felt the loss of such old names as Almaden, Christian Brothers and Inglenook.  (OK, I guess Almaden still exists as a mocking shell of its former being.  OK, I know it never was great, but their bottles did have corks.  Maybe I am the only person who feels a sense of loss of Almaden.)  Another of the old abused names is ...
