I won't say that I was blown over by this. For a £30 bottle I expect to be able to taste the quality but unfortunately I have had better bottles for less than a tenner. Tannins are not too harsh, warm red fruit, slightly herbal. Its ok but was expecting a lot more. Read More

  • Château la Nerthe Red Rhone Blend Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2005

I found this wine to be quite a pleasant surprise! The tannins were mild and the longer I allowed it to breath the better it was. It definitely will change dramatically over time and I would agree right out of the bottle a little hot...but be patient, it is worth the wait! Read More

  • Château la Nerthe Red Rhone Blend Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2005

La Nerthe 2005 struck me as a very pleasant, somewhat soft, mainline Chateauneuf du Pape, not fruit forward or loaded with huge flavors, with good acid and with only mild tannins. It did change remark... Read More

a must to taste for chateauneuf consumers. To drink by itself, with any kind of meat, even with blood fishes, or acompanning mild cheeses with pears or grapes.. Ripe, rich, flavored, if you resist keeping it in the cellar, go for it for a couple years. as it is, ready to drink anyway. Read More
