Sustainable viticulture is our strategic approach in optimizing grape quality. Integral piece is vineyard surveillance in terms of pests and beneficial organisms as well as the evaluation of our cellar operations. Within our integrated cultivation of the vineyards, we apply a combination of biological, mechanical and chemical procedures in respect of recent scientific research. Due to this mixture, our intervention on the environment is minimized in terms of CO2 output. All non-avoidable CO2-emissions are compensated by donations to Climate Protection projects certified by Climate Austria.

  • Nah, not really. I kinda like it. ;-)Life is good here in Sonoma County. I took half the day off today to drive over to Carneros for a 2011 syrah barrel tasting from 8 different winemakers who source their fruit from Las Madres Vineyards. The vineyard hosted the tasting and made all of us feel right at home. Aside from the beautiful setting we g... Read More

  • Marquee Artisan Wines Signature Chardonnay Yarra Valley 2008

This is downright oaky and smells of dried herbs and hay. Theres something vaguely mineral here, with almond husks and some heirloom apple notes too. Rather broad and caressing on the palate, this really spreads out in the mouth. While it lacks some height, it does delivere a lovely core of almond brittle, tangerine and peach fruit. Theres a tou... Read More
