Sauvignon Blanc

(aka. Blanc Fume, Fume Blanc, Savagnin Musque)

Sauvignon Blanc is widely grown in California -- at over 15,000 acres, it’s now the third most planted variety -- and often assumes the moniker ‘Fume Blanc’. • Millet Francois Sancerre 2014

    Snoothrank:

Decent enough but not great Sancerre. On the nose there are subtle hints of grapefruit and lemon. On the palate is grapefruit with more of the lemon, lemon cream, a touch of salinity and a bit of metallic astringency. Read More

Lemon, honeydew melon and sunflower aromas with a touch of cut grass. Classic Napa Sauvignon Blanc character in the mouth - warm and clean, and driven by citrus fruits - lemon and lime, with a good dose of peach and apricot with gruyere cheese. The finish is creamy and long with hints of lemon ice or lemon creme. Read More
