The Marche (or Marches) is a region in central Italy’s eastern coast, or in the middle of the back of the “boot” on the Adriatic Sea. • Mosby Ossessione Italie Montepulciano Merche 2007

    Snoothrank:

A bit leafy and minty on the nose with fine black fruit that shows some tarry sweetness. In the mouth this is medium bodied, lively with black cherry fruit over mineral base notes and a little hint of sassafras oxidation. With powdery tannins and fine supporting acidity, this is very clean and brisk on the palate with a finish that shows some ra... Read More

  • Capestrano Verdicchio Verdicchio di Matelica 2011

    Snoothrank:

$ 10 . This smells of big ripe peach and stinky volcanic soil all covered in a bit of cheese ring. A bit tense and firm in the mouth, this opens with assertive earthy, mineral notes followed by gentle white fruits suspended on a rather angular frame. There's plenty of cut on the palate, with a hint of tannin that drives the medium length, dusty... Read More

    Snoothrank:

I want to start by saying that it is true if you drink a wine too cold, you miss alot of the wines character and flavor. I opened this wine up and poured an ounce or two into my glass and was not so impressed. But 30 minutes later as of this writing, this wonderful white wine has opened up and showed its true flavors! The normal white wine servi... Read More
