Average price: $10.54 from 1 store
35% Carignan, 30% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre Opening with a gorgeous set of aromas, all violet, lavender, fennel seed and cardamom laden over a base of spicy red cherry and cranberry fruit, this shows a bit of a lighter profile in the mouth than might be expected. Soft tannins and well integrated acids keep the palate of blueberry and plummy fruit rather lively and bright. this has a lovely purity to it, though it's not as complex was the palate promises, it is deliciously drinkable and finishes with just a hint of refreshing astringency paired with lingering red cherry fruit. The nose is absolutely seductive and I do like the astringent/fruity nature of this wine. 87pts
