I picked these 3 very different wines to pair with a Salad, Soup and Dide and to show that Chanpagne is indeed an excellent food wine! 3. Champagne Veuve J. Lanaud Cuvée Marie-Joséphine Brut (1998)

Wonderfully round and well balanced wine, golden in colour with a very small bead. Lots of candied citrus and briochee notes on the nose. Great palate weight and mouth feel, wonderful creaminess, flavours of lemon curd, sweet corn, and fresh warm bread, little hint of umami in the lingering finish - great food wine!!
