Shafer "Hillside Select" remains close to my heart since I first tasted it in the 1980's. It is one the first wines I bought to cellar as a vertical and I was lucky enough to purchase several vintages back then in large format. The big bottles are all gone now-mostly consumed with close friends and family during some memorable events over the years, but the palate memories are forever ingrained...
