- A famous winery in Arizona, what's that all about? Well if you found your way here you probably know that Caduceus Cellars is Maynard James Keenan other job. Other than being the frontman for the band Tool of course.
- What you may not realize is that Maynard not only takes a very active role in the winemaking here, setting himself apart from myriad other "figurehead" wine makers, but he also makes some mighty fine wines.
- Not having his name on the panel is probably he first tip-off that this is not about the wine, but rather it's about the man. The unusual blends Caduceus produces also leads one to reason that they are out to make the best wines possible, as opposed to the most popular wine possible. Having said that, these are popular wines and priced accordingly.
- Incidentally the name Caduceus comes format he greek symbol for commerce, the ancient staff of the god Hermes.
