Yering Station on Snooth

  • Yering Station Pinot Noir Yarra Valley 2007

    Snoothrank:

On the nose, this wine has more presence than Little Yering with more complexity; more leather, more nuanced strawberry notes tinged with a touch of spice. There is a solid core of fruit that does not evaporate like floral water, so more of an old world charm with a bit of brightness, if muted. The color matches the finish - longer and deeper ... • Little Yering Pinot Noir Australien Yering Station 2008

    Snoothrank:

Lots of strawberry cordial greet the nose with just a hint of old leather. More candied strawberry on mid-palate with a clean, straight-up short finish. This is a very nice, correct wine with a lightness begging for 20 minutes in the refrigerator prior to opening and serving as a summer evening sipper. A good introduction to Pinot Noir and a ... • Yering Station Chardonnay Yarra Valley 2006

    Snoothrank:

A nice little wine from Victoria, easy on the wallet and "goes down great" - to coin a phrase. The nose is like a whiff of inexpensive floral perfume one might recall from close proximity with prepubescent teen-aged girls. On entry, there is the pleasant flavor of pear and apple - all in a slightly preserved state. The finish is medium with t... Read More

  • Yering Station Chardonnay Yarra Valley 2005

    Snoothrank:

Silky smooth, not overly oakey and sweet and not too acidic either. Subtle peach and melon flavours and slightly amber colour make this certainly one of the better Aussie Whites we have had for around the £10 mark. I like this area of Australia a lot, more so for the reds so thought giving a white a try and not disappointed at all. Read More

  • I was messing around on Domaine547, somehow stumbled onto Snooth, and dove right in. Long time beer/cocktail drinker, but wine manages to slip in now and then. Just wanted to say hi to everyone, but instead of the usual "hi I'm new/welcome newbie" thread, I thought any repliers should also toss in their favorite red wine, and maybe a little tidb...
