Yarden is a brand of Kosher wines produced in the Golan Heights region of Israel. Yarden is the flagship brand, named for the Jordan River and depicting the symbol of ancient Israel, a tiled oil lamp. Yarden also includes the Golan line of value-driven, every day economy wines as well as the Gamla line and the Galil Mountain Winery line. The latter is a joint venture of Golan Heights Winery and Kibbutz Yiron.

  • I've recently met Israeli wines up close and personal -- and found the encounter delightful. Toured the Golan Heights Winery in July during an extended business stay in Israel. Very nice. I'm back in the States now, and would like to know if anyone has visited other Israeli wineries, or can suggest some Israeli reds (cab savs, particularly) that... Read More

I think it would be really great with Summer desserts and things that are fruity, light, vanilla, perhaps strawberry shortcake or a fruit tart. This is also a kosher wine, and one of the better ones I've had. Golan Heights also has a large variety of other enjoyable wines.*But ... Read More

  • The world of Kosher wines is no longer limited to Manischewitz. There is a great array out there coming from every wine producing region in the world. Though Israel stands in the vanguard of just the sheer number of bottles of kosher wine coming for one place, France has a very nice selection, as well as Australia, California, and even some sout...
