Woodbury Vineyards is located in western New York's Chautauqua County, the third largest grape-growing region in America. The Woodbury family started tilling the soil near the Village of Fredonia in 1910. The winery was established in 1979. Today, Woodbury Vineyards wines are regularly recognized for outstanding quality, having earned an impressive number of awards and medals in national and international competitions, including best Northern Hemisphere Chardonnay. Personalized and custom labels are an added bonus. Woodbury Vineyards is nestled in the shadow of the escarpment separating the Lake Erie plain from the forested foothills of the Allegheny Mountains. The rich porous soil of the glacial ridges allows the vine roots to penetrate 20-30 feet.
