We are just minutes from downtown San Luis Obispo and scenic local beaches. Wolff Vineyards Winery is located on 125 acres of ecologically friendly property just minutes from downtown San Luis Obispo, scenic beaches and major tourist attractions. The vineyard was planted 30 years ago by one of the Edna Valley's winegrowing pioneers, Andy MacGregor. World-class awards were earned by wineries that used MacGregor Vineyard Chardonnay grapes (such as Mount Eden). The new owners, Jean-Pierre and Elke Wolff, renamed the vineyard in 1999 when they expanded the vineyard and added their artisan winery.

  • Wolff Vineyards Central Coast Dry Riesling 2013

The label says Dry, but I sure seem to detect RS, here. Lots of upfront fruitapricotand Im getting some honey flavors, also. As a result the wine seems to have a high viscosity mouthfeel. It also seems to lack characteristic Riesling acidit has some, but could use more. Not a hard wine to like, but not particularly compelling. Read More

  • Wolff Vineyards Syrah Edna Valley 2012

Most identifiable aroma on the nose is cherry. On the tongue, though, that cherry is not overpowering. It does seem to have a jammy characteristic, but that is a sense more than a sensationI dont get the allusion of sweetness. In fact, this wine is bone dry. Some earthiness. Easy on the tannin. Sufficient acid to make me want to sip again. Read More

  • Wolff Vineyards Teroldego Edna Valley 2013

Quite dark purple color. Fresh, nose of red fruit. Not a full frontal attack on the tongue, but detectable cherry, plum flavors with some spicehint of clove. As the wine passes back, something of white fruit flavors emergepeach, melon. Quite light on the tannin, but this wine does not lack for firmness. It its not quite full bodied, but it... Read More
