Founded in 1993, Witch Creek Winery is located in Carlsbad, California, in San Diego County. The winery is named for Witch Creek which runs near a vineyard east of Ramona located in eastern San Diego County. Before they started the winery, the Wodehouse family bought some of their grapes from that vineyard and the association stuck. The winery focuses on at least 24 small lot carefully handcrafted wines. We source our fruit not only from local San diego vineyards, but from Central Coast, Northern California, and Baja California, Mexico as well. Witch Creek wines are available only through the Witch Creek Winery tasting rooms or here on-line. (currently under construction!) To recieve discounts on our wine please visit our Cellar Club section and join for free with a 3 month commitment of getting 2 bottles per month. – Description from dvoristanac

    Snoothrank:

Peppery ripe berry fruit. Savory, meat jus quality to the aromas. Chalk, espresso and a slightly gamy quality. On the palate, it has strong cassis flavors as well as bramble fruit and black pepper. Good acid balance. Grippy tannins, but not too big, it's medium bodied. Plummy with kirsch notes. Interesting and begs to be drunk with food. Read More
