Located in Downtown Fraser along US Highway 40, the Winter Park Winery prides itself on its wine, small town charm and great atmosphere. Like the wine, it offers a bold, rich and flavorful spice to the local community and invites locals and visitors alike to come and experience the festivities. In its first year, the Winter Park Winery brought in over 20 tons of grapes and has produced 5 reds: Red Table Wine, Zinfindel, Summer's Blend, Winter's Blend and Cabernet. You can purchase these wines directly from the tasting room, at local restaurants and liquor stores or right here online. The tasting room will offer wine by the glass, bottle and case. There is roughly enough seating for twenty folks, so get there early to ensure your group a table. Be sure to check back frequently or sign-up for our ezine to here about specials, music and events happening at the winery.

  • I have had only one Ruths Chris experience, about 15 years ago.  I thought the food was good.  It was a business lunch, though, and nobody was taking any wine.  So, Al's is the first wine list that I've seen.  I'm glad that GregT mentioned about the prices, because I thought they were high also.  I, also, noticed the Beringer, which is a wine I ... • Just finished tasting Ballabourneen The Stuart 2013 Chardonnay (Australian Wine Selectors Hunter Valley Series January 2014 dozen), bottled under screwcap. Supposed to have a "round and subtle biscuity finish" Well the bottle I tasted was way to subtle for me I'm afraid! I think it is due to last week's tasting of the Tapanappa  2008 Tiers Picca... • While traveling through Napa Valley last month I noticed that all the Vineyards I visited had roses planted around their crops. They're planted and watched closely for any early signs of infestation on the land. They monitor the Roses closely and upon early signs of problems, protective measures are taken to make sure the grape vines receive a s... • Paso Robles Trip Notes: West of PasoThis was a trip my wife and I had planned with another couple months in advance. None of us had spent any time in Paso before, and the anticipation was very high indeed. It seemed the more I read about the area and its wine scene, the more I gained the impression that the West side of town (from just north of ... Read More

  • My wife and I are hosting a German dinner in about a month.  She has the easy part, coming up with the menu and delivering on her fine cooking.  Wienerschnitzel and Spatzle are the main course, with probable sides of grean beans and such.  My part is to come up with matching beverages.  The beer is easy.  I'll find something good in a small keg ... • I recently visited two wineries on a trip through Kentucky and into Indiana. Over the weekend my wife and I stayed at a nice B and B in the Ohio River Valley in Southern Indiana. We stayed at the Leavenworth Inn which is on a bluff overlooking a horseshoe bend in the Ohio River. This is a very nicely restored Inn originally built in the 1850'... Read More
