Australian-born husband-and-wife team, Dawn and Bill Williamson focus on producing limited quantities of premium quality California wines, estate grown in the unique location, soil and climate of Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County, California. Williamson Wines maintains a tradition of producing premium grapes and handcrafting world class wines. Wines are first made in the vineyard and then achieve their maximum potential through caring winemaking practices in which attention is paid to details that are often overlooked or simply too expensive for large production winemaking. Three generations of the Williamson family now live in Dry Creek Valley. The wine business is small and family operated. The wines produced are strikingly individual, representing both quality and value. Williamson Wines are not widely available through retail outlets; generally they can only be obtained at the winery or via phone, fax or email. – Description from AlexJelena

  • Williamson Wines Cuvée Entice 2005

    Snoothrank:

We opened the 05 Williamson Cuvee' for Valentine's Day. The nose was initially light, but after aerating the oak came out balanced with the tannins. This wine is loaded with blueberries, coffee, tobacco, and some bacon. Well balanced and great acid. I just wish we were drinking this wine with grilled rib eyes. We love big wines by themselves so ... Read More

  • One of my best friends & my wife and I are going to be tasting down there on Memorial Day weekend this year (I know, terrible time to taste) and was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of some boutique wineries in the Sonoma area. Particularly wineries that are cool with trading wines, since I work at a winery in Southern Oregon... Read More
