Wild Horse Winery was founded in 1983 by Ken Volk, and named for the wild mustangs that roamed the hills east of the vineyard estate. The mustangs represent the ideal symbol for the Wild Horse Winery's commitment to spirited winemaking. We create compelling wines from 16 diverse appellations and more than 40 vineyards from throughout the Central Coast region. The free-spirited attitude and sustainable-focused vineyard and winery practices are what makes our winery so unique. "Live Naturally, Enjoy Wildly" reflects the attitude and personalities found in all Wild Horse employees, from the vineyards to the tasting room who have been creating these wines for over 25 years.

  • First part done.So the locals also suggested Jocko's to my wife, and we checked out a few places in Pismo.  We wound up at Steamers, which was fine.  We had crab cakes and Caesar salad and a whole trout.  Since hardly any fishing goes on there anymore, and almost everyplace had fish on the menu that was plainly from elsewhere, we didn't worry to... • Okay, I get to take two quick trips this month.  First, we go to San Luis Obispo, Pismo Beach, and Cambria (more or less in that order).  We have one night in Pismo Beach that we can go out for dinner, and we can do a very limited amount of wine tasting because we will have the kids.  So, where do we have dinner in Pismo?  If we eat out in Cambr... • I recently was lucky enough to have a day and a half free in California’s wine country and given the timing, it was in fact just last week, I took advantage of my time as appropriately as possible. I went sparkling wine tasting! I am just as bad as the next guy when it comes to sparkling wines. Thinking about them only rarely, and mostly towards... Read More
