Rafael and José Guilisasti were visionaries in the late 1990s when they saw that the market was beginning to change and that consumers worldwide were becoming more aware of the products they were consuming, not only for health reasons, but also with respect to their social and environmental impacts. They therefore asked winemaking consultant Alvaro Espinoza to join them in the process of converting a conventional Chilean winery into one that was 100% organic and biodynamic with the firm objective of creating wines of the highest quality with great respect for nature. Now, after more than a decade, what began as a dream has become a complete portfolio of wines backed by major national and international awards and recognition and that meet the new need of today’s consumers. – Description from dvoristanac

  • It looks OK to me, MB.After a quick internet search I've learned that Walnut Crest is one of many Banfi labels.  Banfi WInes is a MAJOR Italian company that has worldwide holdings.  Walnut Crest wines come from Chile, and they would certainly work with a limited budget.  I wouldn't worry too much about any oaky Chardonnays.  As the father of the... • I tried the Walnut Crest Carmenere wine (2007) last night. It was surprisingly good and the price was very reasonable. I will be buying a case or two very soon.

  • We're from California but getting married in Sarasota, Florida in April. We're having a beer and wine only cocktail reception. I need help figuring out what to serve. We'd like to serve one red and one white (I prefer sauvignon blanc). They need to be reasonably priced and available there. The food we're serving.... Passed hors d'oeuvres: Cabral... Read More
