  • Stoneboat Vineyards White Blend Chorus 2010

    Snoothrank:

This eclectic number is a doppelganger of the California Conundrum (Wagner Family) white and is just as good - if you like adding a good dollop of extra citrus acidity. With 6 grapes in the blend it is surprising how dominant the Pinot Gris and Viognier seem to be. But then I don't actually know the percentage break-out which I suspect is actua... Read More

  • Thought it would be a great idea for us to take part in trading some of our favorite wines to each other this holiday season. Something in the $30 - 40+ range retail sounds about right (best if found at cheaper/cheapest retailer), and the wines should be ready to drink now so we can all post about our impressions of the wines we were given, but ... • I'm thinking it would be nice to get as many of you together as possible in one place for a dinner. Is that even feasible?I would prefer NYC of course, it's local for me, but more to the point I can bring a ton of wine to dinner easily. If this is support for the idea maybe we can begin to throw around some dates? • Wagner Riesling Seneca Lake Dry 2008

    Snoothrank:

Terrific clear yellow in the glass. Nice flowery nose. Totally dry on the palate. Very light. Almost, I'm sorry to report watery until it reaches the back of the palate. There I get some pleasant table grape flavor. Nice, albeit brief, finish. US$10.99 at Total Wine. Read More
