Vynfields is a boutique organic/biodynamic vineyard, located 3 minutes from the Martinborough Village Square, which also offers self-contained accommodation. Vynfields’ owners John Bell and Kaye McAulay are passionate about producing premium Pinot Noir and Riesling wines, handcrafted using traditional methods. Awards include a Gold medal at the Royal Easter Wine Show for our 2003 Pinot Noir and a Gold medal (and Best wine in the Riesling class) at the Bragato Wine Awards for our 2004 Classic Riesling. We moved the historic Maranui homestead from Lyall Bay in Wellington, across the Rimutaka Hills, to Martinborough (in 5 pieces!). This was a homestead that Kaye had loved from a young age, and we have enjoyed restoring it. A profile of the homestead appears on our wine labels.
