Deceptive nomenclature - because it is Melini behind the fancy name - so has some pedigree (established 1705) in the Classic region of Tuscany. The nose is cheerfully cherry (if I may be permitted this alliterative) with some Mediterranean earth and herb; decant, and you will enjoy the bitter chocolate, cherry and youthful finesse of this wine.... This is surprisingly citrussy on the nose with early lemon oil and peach notes that are covered fairly quickly by more typical, if unusually bright and fruity, notes of red cherry and raspberries.
