Since 1974 certain Vietti wines have been dressed with specially-designed original works (lithographs, xylographies, etchings, silkscreens, linocuts) inspired by the wine of that particular vintage. The print run is the same as the number of bottles produced, and the first hundred labels are signed by the Artist. Each work is only used once, just for the wine of that vintage. Since the presentation of the 1982 Barolo Villero in 1988, the artist’s labels have been dedicated exclusively to the wines grown on this great vineyard. – Description from JelaDragoljevic

  • I am fortunate to have spent more than my fair share of time tasting and ... ... and ... of Piedmont’s Vietti winery. This is a family affair: Luca’s mother, Luciana, is the Vietti in the family, having married Alfredo Currado in 1952. I’m fortunate to have met Alfredo and shared a glass with him before his passing, and to have been welcomed ... Read More

  • 2010 Roero ArneisA little yeasty on the nose with apple, apricot and floral tones. A touch of spritz upon opening, this is lively and really fresh with bright cut to the long apple flavors that are flecked with flashes of quartz. It’s actually a fairly rich, round wine, though the acid keeps it energetic and zippy. 88pts Read More

  • Vietti Nebbiolo Barolo Lazzarito 1995

Tight on the nose with a gentle touch of oak that adds a spicy cigarbox tone to the core of sweet black raspberry fruit that reveals layers of black mineral spice, earth, and medicinal tones with air. Firm on the palate with great vibrancy and cut. This is lean and dusty in the mouth with deep earthy flavors. Its aromatic but not overtly fruity,... Read More

  • Vietti Barolo Rocche 2006

The nose showed strawberry, anise, coconut and vanilla with a hint of lead pencil. On the palate, I found dusty cranberry and a hint of wood. The palate was rich with tones of darker fruit as it worked its way across the tongue. The finish showed a little rough tannin with dry red fruits. This wine is young, but not painfully so and with a littl... Read More

  • Vietti Barolo Rocche 2006

The nose showed wild berries, undergrowth and spice with a feminine floral overtone. On the palate, I found rich dark fruits buried in a firm, tight structure of tannin and a lovely, long finish. This wine should be a beauty with a decade or two of cellaring. Read More
