Since 1974 certain Vietti wines have been dressed with specially-designed original works (lithographs, xylographies, etchings, silkscreens, linocuts) inspired by the wine of that particular vintage. The print run is the same as the number of bottles produced, and the first hundred labels are signed by the Artist. Each work is only used once, just for the wine of that vintage. Since the presentation of the 1982 Barolo Villero in 1988, the artist’s labels have been dedicated exclusively to the wines grown on this great vineyard. – Description from JelaDragoljevic

  • Vietti Barbera Barbera d'Alba Scarrone 2005

    Snoothrank:

Cracked open this beauty on a mid-summer night. I didn't find the nose to be very appealing but as it aired out in the decanter, it grew to be velvety smooth. Nice buttery finish, not bitter, no aftertaste. I'm no wine connoisseur, but I know what tastes right and what doesn't. For the price and the vintage, this is a can't miss for Average ... Read More

  • Vietti Barolo Castiglione 2004

    Snoothrank:

This was very aromatic apon opening with notes of camphor, chalk and earthy, medicinal herbs framing the red fruit. The entry was smooth, suave and sexy with sweet wild cherry and herb flavors only slightly marred by a hint of wood tannin that grew on the finish. This was mouth filling with excellent balance and finesse and wonderful clarity to ... Read More

  • Vietti Masseria Barbaresco 1978

    Snoothrank:

This just looked fantastic with a pale yet very rosy color. The nose initially was a bit disappointing, all old bones and books but it soon blossomed with a huge note of dried rose which was joined by warm strawberry tones, tar, camphor and anise in a classic aged Nebbiolo bouquet. In the mouth this was beautiful, clean and precise with lovely b... Read More

  • Well the 2005 Barolos are tasted, and I cant help but think back to what I said ... Certainly names like Brovia, Vietti, Porro, Oddero, Scarzello, Schiavenza and Marcarini would be expected to perform well, and they did. I look forward to trying these wines again, and again. Not only does that add frames to the film but it improves my ability t... Read More

    Snoothrank:

This wine need to decant and wait 2-3 hours to enjoy. After that, it extract deep woody flavor like you're in early summer forest. On palate, this wine has structured tannin then followed by variety of berries and fresh acidity. This wine is still in progress of maturity. Read More
