Read moreI was Florence in October and I stumbled on this shop, Fattoria San Michele a Torri, maybe a five minute walk from the Duomo. It's located at: Via di San Michele, 36 - 50018 Scandicci - Firenze. They had two large wine vats from which they were selling some of the best wine I had the entire trip. It's an organic and sustainable operation they have going with their wines, pork, and olive oil. We set a vineyard tour/tasting up in the shop and the next day we visited their vineyard only 15 km away. It is right between Chianti Colli Fiorentini and Chianti Classico appellation areas. We had other vineyard trips and tastings and such, but this one really stood out. We even went back to the shop a few times in the week for wine for the hotel.
