This is very nice zin at a reasonable price. Smooth, spicy yet smoky sort of taste.
Had a bottle with dinner the other night (mid August). It was excellent. Seems ... the rest of what I have. Unti makes great Italian varietals at reasonable prices
Dark, inky and bone dry. Red fruits and earth are secondary. About as close to Italy as we get in Cali.
Too bad. We do make a handful of good ones, but they tend to be very different ... If you get a chance try Unti or Sunce Barbera. They may change your mind. The Noceto barbera is very good when the grapes have a good year
