Turley is a winery that focuses on small production “Big Red” wines from old vine Zinfandel and Petite Syrah, based in St. Helena in the Napa Valley, California. The winery is a family operation helmed brother and sister duo Larry and Helen Turley, founded in 1993. Their prestigious wines are in constantly high demand, and their private wine club has a two-year waiting list. The wines are produced from several vineyards, with vines dating back to the 1800s. Each terroir lends its own character to the wines, and they are given separate labels according to location each vintage. The vineyards are located in Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, Lodi, Howell Mountain and Contra Costa.

  • 2 Question came up lately..1) I've been to a wine tasting lately where Philippe Magrez, son of Bernard Magrez presented some of their wines. Some younger, some older vintages. During the tasting someone asked the question how long before consumption one should decant wine. The answer of Philippe was, the younger the wine the more air it needs to... Read More
