With over 7,000 acres of vineyards, we feel a responsibility to the land and have sought to set a standard in environmental stewardship. That’s why we insist on using sustainable farming practices in all of our vineyards, and incorporate organic and/or biodynamic practices whenever we can. We follow the strict guidelines established by the “Code of Sustainable Winegrowing Practices” in all vineyards that are not otherwise farmed biodynamically or ogranically. Our organic vineyards adhere to the rules set up by the Certified Organic Farmers Association (CCOF). We also participate in the Napa Valley Green Farming and Fish-Friendly Farming certification programs. Our in-house composting facility converts over 15,000 tons of grape skins, seeds and stems into valuable fertilizer for our vineyards. Rather than use chemicals in our vineyards, we strive to use natural combatants whenever possible. Trinchero Family Estates strictly prohibits the use of potentially hazardous chemicals like methyl Read more »

Not sure about this. Served in one of those 4oz pour tiny wine glasses with a big lip and too warm. Consistently picked up on oak and smoke. Thin. Read More

  • Trinity Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Weedy yet ripe with raspberry and blackcurrant fruit, this is definitely cabernet. Thyme, sage and roasted bell pepper all are going on in here with a bare hint of wood spice adding a little accent note. Many will think this is not ripe but this is in fact pretty classic Cabernet on the nose. Smooth and easy drinking, the weediness does translat... Read More

  • Trinity Oaks Pinot Noir California 2010

This shows some nice nutty, cocoa-dusted oak along with creamy cola over lightly spiced cherry fruit. Nicely structured in the mouth, this shows pretty good acidity and some fine supporting tannins all wrapped up in spicy, oak-influenced flavors of blackberry and blueberry. The wood is a bit too aggressive on the finish, which also shows a touch... Read More

  • I had the 2008 Pinot Noir and felt that it was good for a basic Pinot Noir but slightly watered down. I got it for 8.99 at our local co-op and feel it would be a good gift for a party, nothing too risky.
