Trespass Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot are the result of a dedicated collaboration between husband and wife, Dana and Don Gallagher, a renowned winemaker and one small vineyard situated at the base of Spring Mountain in the Saint Helena Appellation (AVA) - Napa Valley. Part of a select group of boutique California wineries, with only five acres of wine grapes that are divided between Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, our vineyard is a true labor of love, with virtually every aspect of vineyard management and wine making done by hand. This dedication has allowed us to handcraft wines that reflect the unique character and intensity of the terrior. The vineyard is located just off Madrona Avenue on the northwest side of St. Helena, adjacent to many other acclaimed Napa Valley vineyards. The wine making is a team effort for the Gallagher's and is overseen by Kirk Venge, a second generation Napa Valley winemaker. His knowledge and experience has helped to guide the Read more »

  • Trespass Vineyard Red Blend St. Helena Petite Sirah/Syrah 2005

I can't fault this bottle for what it is. It's ripe, yet balanced and gives a lot of satisfaction across the board. The nose is rich with sweet toast red fruits and lots of vanilla. The palate is initially dry but turns sweet on the mid-palate and although it has a candied feel to it, there's still a fresh and vibrant rush of red fruit. The fini... Read More

  • Trespass Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon St. Helena Estate Grown 2003

Dark red in the glass and as I pour into the decanter the room is filled with floral and fruity smells that tempt me enough to pour a glass first thing and take a few sips. What a wine right out of the bottle but the main show started about two hours later. Aromas of Black currant and raspberry jam with dusty potpourri and spiced cookie. The pal... Read More

  • Trespass Zinfandel Napa Valley 2006

A light ruby red color with aromas of bright red fruit, cranberry sauce and a bit of chalk dust. With time the fruit became darker with clove spice and plum. On the palate it showed dark blue fruit, cedar and clove. It's full-bodied and zesty acidity worked wonders ending in a long finish reminiscent of sour cherry cough drops. This was a beaut... • Trespass Zinfandel Napa Valley 2006

The amazing aromas and flavors literally burst forward from this red wine, perfectly reminding me of autumn. Spicy ripe cherry aromatics explode followed by violets, while flavors arise full of cassis, and raspberries. Richly textured with good acidity and providing a full mouth feel, then gliding into a long silky finish that continues on and on. Read More

Real tight but with the stuffing to grow into something real special. After this wine opened up a bit it showed a nose of rich raspberry preserves, new leather and olive (very nice). Still tight on the palate with streamlined core of rich dark fruit and a tannic bite. I think a little time will reveal something very special in this wine. Read More
