The Trapiche team was immensely proud to receive the Trophy for the "Argentinian Wine Producer of the Year 2006", awarded by a jury of wine experts on October 31st in London. When the IWSC, one of the most prestigious wine competitions in the world, created the trophy for "Argentinian wine producer of the year" in 2004, Trapiche was the first winery ever to receive it. The trophy was created because of the growing importance of the Argentina category within the industry; P&O Nedlloyd Logistics is the official sponsor. History repeats itself. Being awarded the trophy again is the proof that Trapiche is paving the way in Argentina´s wine industry, both in terms of quality and innovation. The winner is designated on the basis of its general performance at the IWSC 2006 and Trapiche won the only Gold Medal for an Argentinian wine with Medalla 2003.
