  • Tommasi Poggio Al Tufo Toscana Rompicollo 2014

    Snoothrank:

Some cherry and stone fruit on entry. Not a particularly complex wine, although, I have to admit it is a relatively easy wine to drink. I guess that even though nothing stands out as being great about this wine, nothing really detracts from it either. On the other hand, for less than $12, I cant be disappointed. Read More

  • Tommasi Valpolicella Ripasso 2013

    Snoothrank:

Herbal strawberry and basil aromas with tomato leaf notes of dusty earth, floral spice and black pepper. On the palate the fruit is more expressive, cherry and cranberry fruit coming through though still herbal, this shows a bit of clay and more drying earth towards the finish before rounding off some of the dark berry fruit with oak spice and a... • Tommasi Family Estates Poggio Al Tufo Rompicollo 2013

    Snoothrank:

Earthy black currant and blackberry preserves on the nose, perfumed and light with jasmine tea and rose petal notes complementing the fruit. Quite fruit forward and expressive on the palate, bold cherry and blackberry fruit in front of a chewy tannic structure, fresh earth, chocolate and a hint of eucalyptus towards the finish. Good complexity a... Read More

  • Tommasi Viticoltori Poggio Al Tufo Rompicollo 2013

    Snoothrank:

Clear garnet color with some brownish hues around the rim of the glass....think the stems of the grape berry brown and with great bubbly goodness upon adding some air to the mix through swirling. The aromas are very much of rich, ripe dark berry, muted black peppery spice and slightly meaty. The flavors follow suit but become even longer and a... Read More

  • Tommasi Viticoltori Poggio Al Tufo Rompicollo 2012

    Snoothrank:

A ruby garnet in the glass and an inordinate amount legs on glass for only 13% abv. There is slight separation ring. Cherry and blueberry lead the way with herbal notes and pepper spice. Although I'm not a big fan of this much Cabbie to Sangiovese - it works and it works well. Smooth tannins meld wirh wonderful acidity here. Drink now - Paul 91 ... Read More
