We offer you here our best guess as to which ones you ought to drink soon, and which ones to hold while they achieve their best potential.

  • So we have some interest in having a West Coast meet-up (or you can call it a throw-down) for Pinot.  Here's my opening proposal:  We'll do it very close to the Oakland Airport, to save those who are traveling in from out of town (like Emark and JonDerry) from having extra travel if they want to fly.  This would give LuchaVino a chance to attend... • Predator Old Vine Zinfandel 2011

    Snoothrank:

Was recommended to me by a Wine consultant at Fred Meyer grocery. It's thunder on the mountain. Rich, hearty full of hickory, plum, vanilla and satisfying flavor. This is a $15 dollar wine and for the price it's an incredible deal. Will buy it always. Read More

  • Thunder Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon Cienega Valley DOC Miller 1999

    Snoothrank:

Opened a bottle of this wine tonight from my cellar. Very nice drinkable wine, soft and smooth berry flavors, probably past its prime now. Enjoyable as it opens up, a wonderful wine to sip. Glad I bought this wine from the lovely owners of the winery many years ago. A small production winery, and not sure if they are still making wine today. Read More

  • Back in February, Mark posted a summary of Vertical vs. Horizontal wine tasting. It was a clear and concise description of both; so, I'm not going to steal his thunder by repeating anything he wrote. However, I will ask the Snooth team to "link it up," as the one and only Gary Vay-ner-chuk does many times in his daily video blogs. What I will... Read More
