  Thumbprint Cellars Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel 2006

  This wine has a great deal of blackberry in both the nose and mouth, however the alcohol is a bit high and tends to overpower much of the great fruit that is there. The mouth is very rich and has a wonderful finish.

We bought a chilled bottle from the tasting room and enjoyed it with our dinner at the Dry Creek Kitchen just around the corner in downtown Healdsburg. Even though we paid full retail, $26, it was such a great food wine for a warm evening that it was well worth it!    (hide)
