Three Thieves Winery

You may have heard the tale of the Three Thieves, three regular guys who threw away centuries of tradition and winemaking knowledge, and in the process, changed the wine industry forever. Their story begins in 2001, when the trio—a.k.a Charles Bieler, Joel Gott, and Roger Scommegna—hit upon a brilliant thought. Realizing that there was an enormous excess of great wine being produced by premium wineries, and a flourishing market for quality wine at the $10 price point, they began buying wine from these wineries and creating their own blends, using their own winemaking skills to improve upon the original composition. The three partners got a reputation for ‘robbing’ vineyards blind of high-end varietals, at prices described as a ‘steal,’ and the name “Three Thieves” stuck. Like Robin Hood and his Merry Men, the Three Thieves ‘stole’ from the rich, and made great wine accessible to everyone—from NASCAR fans looking for something to pair with their drive-thru dinners, to soccer Read more

    Snoothrank: Starting at $7.99

6.99 albertsons price on sale and still expensive, full liter size. Wine tastes oxidized I call it the meaty taste when wine is open and kept out past 2 weeks. The wax box might be the reason as air can penatrate thru these containers shortening shelf life. The wine is more sweet... Read more

Nice wine especially for it's price. Best if it breathes for a few hours first. At coop in calgary it's 15 cad.

I was skeptical but I bought this for a picnic in the park (where you can have alcohol, but no glass bottles). I was pleasantly surprised! Nice balance, not at all sweet. This is a great value and perfect for a picnic on the go.

This is the second time I've had this wine. I really like the vanilla overtones - not only at the beginning, but at the end.
