Three Coins Wines

How do we craft the perfect wine to celebrate and toast your success? The same way you achieved it: inspiration, collaboration and dedication. • Syrah has been a perennial dark horse in the US market for much of the last two decades. It’s a grape that always seems to be on the verge of greatness, even exploding on the scene in the late 1990s under the Shiraz moniker and with a thick Aussie accent, but as we all know, Aussie Shiraz is so very 1990, and Syrah struggles to find a following ... • Three Coins Syrah 2009

    Snoothrank:

Lots of blueberry fruit greets the nose along with some nuanced notes of grilled meats, toasty oak, a touch of black pepper and some fresh balsamic notes. There's plenty of oak here, with lots of vanilla and toasty, oaky flavors wrapped around the core of blackberry and blueberry fruit. There's a pleasant astringency to the tannins, which helps ... • I 'inherited' a bottle of Clos Du Marquis, Saint Julien 1984 (See my profile pic for the image of the label).  I am trying to find some information about it.  I have seen this wine from the 1988 vintage, but never the 1984.  Can anyone tell me about this wine?  I know its a second label, etc.  Is it even worth drinking at this point?  Thank You!! It’s not surprising that folks are looking for deals, and they usually are interested in their favorite wines, so it’s not surprising that Cabernet Sauvignon values are the most frequent request. With our Global Tasting initiative (GTI) program geared up once again I thought t... Read More

  • Three Coins Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

    Snoothrank:

Nutty aromas of peppered bacon and blackberry. Flavors are light, and sit by the front of the mouth. Gentle tannins and red fruit are soft on this cab, but there's still a bit of spice on the attack. Read More
