The Thorn-Clarke family already has a long history in the Barossa - six generations of involvement in the region's world famous wine industry. We take a long-term view of the future and our goal is unashamedly to be still growing grapes and making wine for another six generations. We recognise and value the role that our suppliers, distributors, retailers and customers play in this goal and we seek to develop sustainable partnerships based on loyalty, trust and quality. – Description from milana

  • Thorn-Clarke Shiraz Barossa Valley Terra Barossa 2008

    Snoothrank:

Had a glass of this at a restaurant last night - very velvety mouthfeel, big and fruit-forward, soft tannins. Gorgeous dark purple-red color too. Loved everything about it except the price ($10 for a glass), but I know that was restaurant markup. For the prices quoted here, it's a great choice. Read More

  • Thorn-Clarke Shiraz Barossa Valley Terra Barossa 2008

    Snoothrank:

Good very drinkable. Bold and fruity with a very big jam component. This is definitely an Australian fruit blast. There's a little bit of spice on the mid-palate and the finish is pretty full. For meals, you need a big favor contrast - - think red meat, strong cheeses, onions. Read More

    Snoothrank:

Picked up a bottle of 2001 while on vacation years ago and loved it. After returning home, I had difficulty finding it, but eventually found a store that had the 2002 vintage, which was much on par with the 2001, so I bought a case. I wonder if the fact that this wine is linked to my memories of a nice vacation makes me like it more than otherwi... Read More

  • Thorn-Clarke Shiraz Barossa Valley Terra Barossa 2008

    Snoothrank:

I bought 2 cases, It was very bitter at first. As the sediment falls out its is gets much better. If you open a bottle and take 1/2 galss out ant then store in frdge for two day it accelerates the process. It is 3, now but maybe a 4 or 5 later. The aroma of this wine is excellent. Read More
