Thirty Bench is a producer of premium wines grown exclusively on estate vineyards in the Beamsville Bench appellation, a superior winegrowing region on the Niagara Peninsula. At Thirty Bench, we focus on what the vineyard does best, growing Riesling and classic red varietals on vines managed for low yield and maximum fruit intensity. Our wines are carefully crafted by a skilled winemaker in small lots, ensuring every single bottle of Thirty Bench wine boasts exceptional quality and flavour. Many of our wines are rare and hard to find, but they are even harder to forget. We look forward to welcoming you to Thirty Bench. – Description from John Andrews

  • Thirty Bench Wines Thirty Bench Riesling Blanc NV

aint yellow in the class with a slight orange cast, this wine smells of plum, fresh peach and lime. In the mouth, the wine is incredibly juicy and delicious mouthwatering acidity and a strong mineral character as body. Highly recommended to pizz and pasta as perfect match in a hot summer. • Thirty Bench Pinot Noir Niagara Peninsula Vqa Benchmark 2003

We opened a bottle of the 2003 Benchmark on New Years day 2010 - awesome wine with a lot of flavor and very smooth. A serious wine that people who normally like simpler tastes can enjoy. Read More

  • I am open to suggestions that are relatively easy to procure, on the dryer side, and have some level of complexity- I tend not to like a one-dimensional, flat wine.  At my last tasting of Asian influenced foods, I paired a Trefethern Dry Reisling, along with 2 other whites.  People liked it ok, but thought a bit sweet tho.  The white rhone blend... • Thirty Bench Red 2005

To me, this is one of the most underappreciated wines at Thirty Bench. It is clear that Riesling is king but this wine is great. It is understated. The aromas are a bit muted but there are in is a nice spice, earth and fruit combination. There is good balance in the flavors that show dark fruit and spice. It may not be a wine to age for a d... Classic rose with strong aromas of strawberry. Good acidity and strawberry flavors. Fall is not rose weather for me so I may be rating this lower because of the season. Read More

  • Thirty Bench Riesling Beamsville Bench Vqa 2005

This is a great example of white wine that can age. This is a classic aged Riesling. The aroma was definitely petrol. That unique aged Riesling aroma. The flavors were citrus and tang with good acidity and nice long finish. I suspect this wine could age a few more years and I can only imagine what the single vineyards are aging like. Read More
