  • Prestige de Calvet Red 2007

Agree with Colin. In a (Scots) word: Wersh!UK store Tesco offering it at "half price" for a fiver. Thank God we didn't pay a tenner for it. Not even sure it's worth the fiver. Read More

  • Charles de Cazanove Brut NV

Bought this omn the cheap (£10 special offer from Tesco's) and for £10 its very good. For £20, its so so. Sweet as you would expect but the citrus kick is a little less refined, a bit too loud and dominates the flavour. Aftertaste is quite nice though as its thinning out but as a simple fizzy glass without expectations, its not bad at all. Read More

Now this was a surprise. I've had Tesco Chardonnay before and its not been that good so supermarket brands are usually off my list but this is brilliant. Golden amber, smooth tropical taste with butterness throughout. Easily drinkable and doesn't cost a lot either. Read More

  • Tesco California Reserve Pinot Grigio 2006

Possibly the foulest white wine I have ever had. It's either gone off (which I doubt as its a screw cap) or this is extremely sour, devoid of any fruit flavour and just leaves a nasty aftertaste. AVOID. Read More

One of the best of the Tesco Finest range without doubt. Plump, fruity cherry and plum and a long distinguished length. Not bad at all for the price. Read More

  • If you are familiar with Costco, then you probably know that Kirkland is their brand name. I recently discovered that they get different wine makers to create some wine for them. All that I have tried have been really good AND inexpensive. Today I had a Syrah that was about $10 and quite good. I have talked to a wine maker that made wine for Cos... Read More
