It was back in 1908 when my grandparents, the young Gaspare and Giuseppina Ferlin, emigrated from Rovigo and opened a Venetian tavern, the Chiantiquelle - Casa Ferlin, in Zurich. Snoothrank:

90 pts. edit...6/16/2012 rated 90 points: Dusty red and black cherry skins, with savory dried herbs on the nose. There's a soft texture at first on the palate, accompanied by extremely lean black cherry, minerals, and a very nice core of roasted, smoky, meat. The acidity is subtle, but sufficient and the very fine grained tannins coat the mouth ... Read More

    Snoothrank:

Nose of rare meats, spice, white pepper, taste of ripe red fruits, strawberries, clove, sweet tobacco, tad of tar, dry, good acidity, yet velvety, goes well steak, drink now or lay down for a few years. A an hour or two in a decanter is a good idea. This wine is usually solid, and this 2005 vintage is no exception. Read More
