Viñedos Terrenoble was founded in 1993 by Jorge Elgueta in Valle de Maule, Chile. The wines steadily gained recognition through the years since then. In 2006, Wolf von Appen and Patricio de Solminhiac joined the Elgueta family to expand winery operations throughout Chile, exploring new vineyard locations. Terrenoble is dedicated to producing wines from grapes best suited to their individual terroir and climate (as opposed to planting popular varietals anywhere and hoping for the best). Their philosophy is to, “produce modern, high quality, elegant and pleasant to drink wines, with presence of aromatic and fruit flavors extracting, maintaining and highlighting features of each variety.”

  • I recently heard that in addition to its contribution to the flavor and complexity of wines, that oak was also an effective anti-oxidant, helping the wine to age gracefully for longer periods of time. Also, that sediment in older wines had to do with the oak.It prompted me to search for some additional articles or info on oak. Found this random ... Read More

Shows a nose of dark berries, mineral earthiness, pepper and spices with some notes of coffee as it breathes. The palate shows big dark berries, with some dusty sweet spices and pepper with a finish of cherries mixed with some spices, coffee bean and menthol. Read More
