Our Background shows a long history of working passionately with high-end labels; the team of growers and winefolk first assembled by Greg La Follette has most recently put Flowers on the map. UC Davis trained for “speaking the language of the vine and wine”. Worked in the industry under masters such as Tchelistcheff and Kongsgaard. Brought skills to a fine hone as pioneers in the challenging “true” Sonoma Coast. We have now hung our own shingle with growers who have worked with Greg L for years. Our Vineyard Sources are stable, long-term relationships spanning several labels. We work closely with our growers’ vineyard management to cultivate expression of terroir. We helped plant several of these vineyards and assisted in ascending their reputation: Keefer : Greg L helped plant in mid-nineties while with Hartford Court. Van der Kamp : we camped out at their doorstep until they agreed to give us grapes. Have provided them with much of the new bud wood for planting. Porter-Bass : have worked Read more »

  • Sorry, haven't been on here for a couple days so I thought it was time to catch up. Woke up Saturday morning and found ourselves in Marseilles where we're starting our next great wine adventure. First day was spent trying to get rid of the jet lag cobwebs so we took it easy, checked out Aix-en-Provence and then headed to the villa in St. Remy. D... • Hi everyone.  My wife Sandra and I have been into wine for the past few years and that's led to a few trips to Napa Valley and related areas in 2012 and 2013.  We enjoy all wines but reds are our favorites.  We hosted our first wine tasting party last night and it was a fun event - sixteen wine lovers trying different wines in a blind tasting.  ... • Hawks Roost Ranch Pinot Noir 2007

    Snoothrank:

My husband and I were given a bottle of the 2007 as a gift. We had never been great fans of red wine, let alone Pinot Noir....until we tasted this wine. We are not wine afficiandos, but this is the best red of any that we have ever tasted. Wish we could find some in Northern CA. to buy! I wold rate it 10 stars! Read More

  • ‘Hey, I’m hearing great things about the Finger Lakes,’ spoken by the collective ‘they.’ Sure, I’d tasted a bottle of Konstantin Frank or two, but embarrassingly had never visited. Summer heat finally drove me to the car, down past the paper trail of Scranton, PA’s ‘The Office,’ north bound to Ithaca, the tail of Cayuga Lake, where all the smart... Read More

  • Auction Block Pinot Noir 2006

    Snoothrank:

This Sonoma Coast pinot noir shows off aromas of bunches of ripe red fruits. It delivers a similar flavor profile on the palate along with some tart cranberries and barnyard hay. A good amount of acid to make it food friendly, however a bit heavy on the mouthfeel. Good, though not quite in harmony to be a great wine. Read More

Excellent Pinot with full body, a good mix of earthy and dark cherry flavors. Just enough acidity to keep it a good food wine. Read More
