The growth in stature for Tait Wines has come about fairly quickly and directly reflects the dedication and vision of Bruno in his wine making skills. Bruno's wines have received very favorable overseas reviews ( 93 Parker points for the 2001 Basket Pressed Shiraz, 92 Parker points for the 2002 "The Ball Buster", 90 Parker points for the 2001 Basket Pressed Cabernet Sauvignon) and this has validated his efforts to make world class wines. Bruno's wines epitomize the Barossa style -big, rich and full of flavor. The obvious attention to detail along with strong relationships with his growers has allowed Bruno access to high quality fruit (the old vine fruit is from vines 50-80 years old) which he has then transformed into wines that are reflective of his personality - big, generous with loads of personality. Bruno also works in close partnership with his exporters, an essential ingredient to ensure the wines maintain their own in a competitive market and remain true to his own style. • La Velona Rosso di Montalcino 2011

A rather mellow RdM from the start. Blackberries, plum, spice, Montalcino dirt and a sprig of zest lead to the palate which sees the same with additional herbal notes, medium tannins and good acidity. Drink now - Paul 88 points Read More

  • Clos Ouvert "Primavera" Maule Valley 2012

Originally I was going to score this an 88 but the more I think about the uniqueness of the wine I upped it a notch. Why? The combination of herbal notes - sage, cilantro, what have you, combined with coffee and bubblegum - yes, bubblegum - and dark berry fruit really stood out. It was enjoyable and easy to drink, except when you had to stop and... Read More

  • Tait Barossa Valley "The Ball Buster" Smc 2012

Big wine - when I first opened it to breath it took the room by storm. Big blackberries, red plum and blueberries, chocolate, pepper on the nose lead to chewy tannins and well balanced acidity force their way to a medium long aftertaste that is juicy qand alluring. Could stand another 12 months cellaring then drink. Paul 90 points Read More

  • Tait Ball Buster 2010

Tait's 2010 Ball Buster, a blend of 77% Shiraz, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 7% Merlot aged in American oak barrels. Opaque and purple-colored, it's a velvety mix of plum, berry, licorice, spice box, blueberry, and blackberry flavors. It should match well with any savory sauces and heavier meat dishes. Read More
