Stone Wolf has been producing wines of quality and flair since 1998. At what is now a memorable place in time, owners Linda and Art Lindsay decided to combine their business skills and passion for good wine. Stone Wolf began with old vines that Linda and Art themselves planted in 1985. Little did they know of the work and luck that goes into producing wine from the notorious and finicky grape, Pinot Noir. Our building is located in an out-of-the-way corner of McMinnville’s industrial district, but what it lacks in sophistication, it more than makes up for in a qualified and warm staff. We take pride in the fact that the only people you will ever find working the Stone Wolf Tasting Room are members of the Winemaking Team. The Lindsay Estates are where it all started. Linda and Art’s home and vineyards lie in the coastal hills west of McMinnville, Oregon. At 1,100 feet, it is the highest vineyard in the Willamette Valley. The altitude of the property lends itself to low, yet intense, yields. The vines themselves are mature as they were planted in 1985. These quality grapes are used to create the award winning Pinot Noirs that carry the Lindsay name. What's New at the Vineyard: It's been a great summer here at the Read more »

Endless combinations of grapes, production methods, climate and terroir make variety possible. The funny thing is that once fall hits rosé is soon forgotten. It’s a curious circumstance to me; both fall and... Read More
