Stephen Vincent is a brand that was established in Northern California in 2001 by Stephen Vincent Situm, Robert Goyette and Hossein Namdar. All three men are experienced winemakers, vineyard owners, managers and wine marketers. The wines are produced from grapes grown in their own Lake County and Sonoma Coast properties, as well as other North and Central Coast locations. The aim is to produce high quality wines at approachable price points. There is no physical tasting room, but the wines are available directly from the vineyard via mailing list and various retail outlets.

  • Stephen Vincent Crimson 2012

got this wine as part of a school fundraising campaign. drinking the 2012 Crimson in late 2014. We opened and drank this wine to accompany an oven-broiled sirloin steak dinner. i thought the pepperiness of the wine was a perfect match for the steak!a few hours later, the nose offers delicious, rich scents of vanilla. however, all i taste in ... This is a wine for people who have to be convinced to drink wine. There's no pretense here, this is fermented grape juice.Right out of the bottle the nose is assertive, like a used car salesman on the last day of the month trying to make his quota. Ripe blackberry and vanilla...vanilla that's trying to be subtle, yet failing. This wine jumps str... Read More

  • Stephen Vincent Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

The wine is a classic deep purple in the glass, just as you'd expect of a California Cabernet. The nose is a pleasant and full of fruit, blackberry and cherry with notes of plum and cherry cola. The taste is fruit forward, with some ripe fruit, plum, cherry, ripe berries that transitions nicely to some lovely tarragon and floral notes, and an ... Read More

Nice dark plum color--maybe a tad murky. Something of a "sour" nose. That does not portend anything good. Actually, it's pretty good on that palate. Nice fruit at the tip of the tongue, but nothing overwhelming. Very little tannin happening here. Reasonable tartness/acidity makes me think this will go good with food (marinated flank steak,... • We are, this evening, having a 2004 bottle of Stephen VincentPinot Noir, Sonoma coast, Four Sisters. We are in the frozen tundra of South Dakota this fine evening and are so impressed with this wine. Goes lovely with swiss/caraway cheese and dark chocolate. This is our minibreak during tax season, my husband being a CPA, thank you!
