Stella is a wine label produced in partnership between Italy and the United States. Quality producers in Italy are sourced for popular varietals and styles, and the wines are directly imported to the US. As the popularity of Italian wines has increased in the states, so have the prices. These are offered as “everyday” drinking wines, “unmistakably Italian” in style. The available wines are Pinot Grigio, Merlot, Trebbiano, Sangiovese, Chianti DOCG, and Montepulciano.

  • Heya, Snoothers! I'm taking myself on a 'lil gastronomical/enological tour of the general Burgundy region in mid-October, and am digging for tips. This is a trip devoted entirely to delights of the tastebuds - there will be no stop-offs at the Louvre - and I'll be driving, so off-the-beaten-path vineyards and restaurants are welcome suggestions!... • Campus Stella Albariño Rías Baixas 2007

    Snoothrank:

At first, strong scent of lemon and grapefruit followed by honeysuckle, nutmeg and cut grass. A full bodies white with lime and pear on the palate. As you dig deeper you find honey and almonds. The most amazing part about this wine is that the bottle was drank over the course of three days and with each day it became deeper and richer as the ... Read More

  • There's a Stella Artois ad running periodically on Snooth, which links to a really good booklet that discusses food and beer pairing for their beers: Stella, Hoegaarden, Leffe Blond and Leffe Brown. It covers everything from glassware for each beer, to the taste profile and then a series of recipes made with each of the beers. My favorite:Mussel... Read More
