  •  27th July 2013, Ormond Hall, St Kilda RdIt is well-evident that there is no shortage of Rhone-inspired wines in Australia. We certainly have vineyards which bask in similar weather conditions as the Rhone Valley. • St. Hallett Barossa Shiraz Cabernet Gamekeeper's 2008

    Snoothrank:

Black current, raspberry, cinnamon. Has nice weight but it's a little bit hot. Silky semi-coarse tannins. No oak. Not a lot of mineral or earthy flavors here. Cherry. I definitely like this wine, but it's straightforward (not a bad thing) and only semi complex. I would recommend it at less than the $11 they want for it. Read More

  • I love the Faith Shiraz, and the Semillon. I had a couple of glasses of Gamekeeper's in Hawaii, and it was a superb. A wine that will never make you regret.
