Sonoma is rocky coastlines, lush pastures, majestic redwoods, lazy rivers, sun washed vineyards, a town, a valley, a mountain, a county and a state of mind. To us at Sonoma Vineyards, it’s all of those things, captured in a bottle. – Description from Kursulla

  • Finding myself a little more curious as to what's going on at this price point lately, with neighbors looking to me for advice, and I did hear BLM's call recently as well.So two regions came to mind, not only for reasonable pricing, but for good overall quality potential. The Languedoc in the South of France, and Etna Rosso from the volcanic soi... Read More

  • I'm a little late to the thread Lefty and I'm not sure what style you like but you need to try Willamette Valley Vineyards Whole Cluster at $19.97 at Total Wines and La Crema Sonoma County. I've been down the same road recently.  Those are my favorites but the search continues so let us know where you land. Read More

  • Being aware of price points for most of the other varietals I have always wondered why the Pinot Noirs are always priced way ahead of the other varietals. It is almost impossible to purchase a Pinot Noir at the same price point/quality as a Cabernet Sauvignon for under $20Now I live in a region where both Cabernet Sauvignon (Washington State) and... • Chalk Hill Chard Sonoma 2013

    Snoothrank:

One of the best California Chardonnay's. Not too buttery or woody. Balanced fruit and acidity. Will go great with your Thanksgiving bird. Read More

  • Neyers Syrah Sonoma Coast Old Lakeville Road 2011

    Snoothrank:

This wine benefited from sitting in the cellar for awhile. The fruit rose and the large herbal overtones mellowed a little. Blueberries and raspberries on the nose nose, brushy qualities, spice and fresh pepper with a note of chocolate. A well balanced tannic/acid finish leads to a medium finish. Drink now - Paul 89 points. Read More

  • Martin Ray Vineyards & Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma County 2014

    Snoothrank:

Intriguing ripe berry aromas with wood spice and a flinty salinity on the nose alongside dark black cherry notes. This is expansive and quite fruity on entry with red fruit notes of ripe cherry, raspberry and a touch of medicine, soft structure and a finish of blueberry and delicate spice. Read More
